MCAFF’s AmeriCorps Member, Amie Middlekauff, along with assistance from local compost guru, Lee Barron, have been busy introducing Morgan County, WV students to the world of Vermicomposting. The worm bins start with 1,000 Red Wigglers and allow students to see first hand how worms are an important part of our ecosystem. Student learn about the importance of soil conservation and life cycles through garden based learning projects using the worm bins for hands on activities.
